Application Support Engineer Role:
The role of Application Support Engineer entails the oversight and maintenance of enterprise applications, encompassing tasks such as installation, patching, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Collaboration with vendors to address and resolve issues is also a key aspect of this role. Working closely with both the IT Support Team and business stakeholders, the incumbent ensures compliance with company and department standards, as well as the implementation of best practices in alignment with organizational objectives.
Responsible for monitoring integrations between systems and taking corrective action where possible.
Create and update support documentation.
Maintain and troubleshoot applications including expense, accounting, CRM, rental, sales and operation systems.
Work with other members of the IT Support Team to ensure systems are up to date by applying patches, updates, or upgrades.
Partner with team members/leaders to assess, prioritize, allocate, escalate, and focus resources for operational support, service requests and project initiatives, ensuring efforts align and fully support business plans and drive operational excellence.
Identify and document issues, assisting developers and vendors in replicating issues.
Assist in testing new features, patches, updates, and upgrades before deployment to production.
Deploy software packages for department and enterprise applications.
Stay current with trends and issues related to IT and the supported systems to maintain proficiency in their support, maintenance and operation.
Research support topics and share knowledge with the team.
